West U. Partners with MLS Cup Champion Houston Dynamo

Houston Dynamo Media Relations HOUSTON - The Houston Dynamo is proud to announce West University/Express Soccer as the latest "Student of the Game" partner.   "We are excited to announce West University/Express Soccer Club as a "Student of the Game" partner said Dynamo President & General Manager Oliver Luck." This is an organization that has the vision of soccer we hope for from our Student of the Game partners. They are committed to supporting youth soccer in our community and recognize the value of an association with the Houston Dynamo."   "Through our partnership with the Dynamo, every one of our players will be exposed to the highest level of professional soccer in the United States," said West University/Express president Renato Pereira. "We are convinced that closer relationships with the professional players will enhance the overall soccer experience at our club," said Renato. "Our goals are aligned with the Dynamo organization to provide a positive and lasting experience with soccer for our players and their families."
The Student of the Game program is designed to provide youth soccer clubs in the tri-state area with a series of educational, motivational and inspirational benefits to assist players but also coaches and parents. The recruitment and retention of parent volunteers remains a challenge for most youth soccer organizations. The "Student of the Game" program provides clubs with various tools aimed at assisting in this area. One aspect of the program is a special Club-Night-Out at Robertson Stadium for a Dynamo home game. The purpose of this outing is to give youth players the opportunity to watch a game live, learn from professionals and provide parents an opportunity to meet each other in a social setting. The "Club Night Out" is the ultimate team-building event that will allow 1,500 soccer players in West University/Express Soccer Club an opportunity to receive one ticket to a Dynamo regular season game at Robertson Stadium.

 

The Dynamo Student of the Game program was established in an effort to provide Houston and surrounding youth soccer leagues with an education-based curriculum that will further enhance youth players, coaches and parents' soccer knowledge and appreciation for the game. The Dynamo program motivates and educates by providing partner leagues with exclusive access to the Dynamo coaches and players through coaching clinics and appearances, among other benefits.

 

"This is a club that understands the importance of educating parents and coaches and finding ways to provide a positive youth soccer experience at all times. This approach has produced very positive results both on and off the field. We are proud to work with this organization and pleased they have agreed to become a partner in our Student of the Game program," said Dynamo, Sr. VP Sales and Marketing, Steve Powell. "We are in the closing stages of discussions with several other youth soccer organizations in the area who are considering the Student of the Game program. Due to the high volume of deliverables provided by the Dynamo, we are limiting the number of partners to just twenty."
